Our Animal Collection
More Than Just A Collection
Meet the unusual rodents and small mammals at Exotic Rodentry. Click an animal’s label to explore its natural history and learn about its place within our collection.
Profiles distinguish animals currently in our collection from past residents and species we have worked with. Our approach centres on each species’ biology, behaviour and welfare.
Breeding & surplus animals
Exotic Rodentry is a hobbyist breeding collection. We work collaboratively with other keepers, breeders and institutions to help maintain species in captivity in the UK for the long term.
We occasionally have surplus animals available to suitable homes, including colleges, zoos, private collections and pet owners. Where appropriate, we can also supply animals to the pet trade. Availability varies by species and breeding plans.
